COVID Mobility Works

Year in Pandemic Quilt

Artist rendering of COVID experience
,
Los Angeles, USA

During the pandemic I started quilting using used jeans (blue and color) from family members and thrift stores.

I showed the travel (or lack of) modes and activities in the blanket including good movement / home delivery, working out at home (on stationary bikes), telework, and mountain biking.

The quilt also documents the political issues of the year including the election, BLM,  LGBTQ+ rights, the vaccine and more.

Materials used: Used denim jeans from family members and thrift stores with additional custom appliqués from thrifted materials.
How did COVID change the way you moved around? I was more active; I walked more, cycled, or rode a scooter more frequently.
