Life for some Kenyans who live in rural areas was already tough, but when covid set in, life become even harder.

Moving around and communication became hard. One aspect that was greatly affected was transport as more and more people were obligated to adopt safer ways of travel e.g., walking. Many had to embrace the new norm of ''masking,'' and in my piece I have depicted a woman and two school girls walking on foot while wearing masks.

I painted this scene on a map in effort to bring out the idea that this pandemic affected us all worldwide.

Materials used: Acrylic paint on paper
How did COVID change the way you moved around? I interacted with my town in new ways. I ate outside or explored the public space and streets more., My relationship with public transit changed.
